Do I need a referral from my doctor to schedule a hearing or speech and language evaluation?

This depends on your type of insurance. Please contact the Center’s Clinic Secretary regarding specific questions at (314) 968-4710. Some insurance companies require that you obtain an authorization number prior to receiving services.

How much do hearing aids cost?

Hearing aids range in price from $1,200-$3,200. Remember that we offer financial assistance for those that qualify.

Does insurance pay for hearing evaluations or hearing aids?

Please call your insurance company to check on the specifics of your policy. Most insurance companies do not cover hearing aids, but may cover hearing testing.

What if I cannot afford the cost of services?

Call the Center and talk to a staff member to determine the level of scholarship funding you need. The appropriate paperwork will be mailed to you.

Do staff members receive commission from hearing aid sales?

No staff member receives commission for any services provided at the Center for Hearing & Speech.
